You can use a timer-controlled automatic water heater to set the times when you would like to heat water, which will save you some electricity. The timer switch automatically regulates the power supply on a programmed schedule instead of manually setting the heater ON and OFF.
The system consists of an MCB, RCCB, timer switch, and water heater. The MCB is used to guard against overload, and the RCCB is used to guard against electric shocks. Take the phase wire of the RCCB and run it into the timer switch input, and the timer output to the live of the water heater. The supply should be directly wired to the heater and the timer using the neutral.
Install the timer and set it in response to your schedule (e.g., ON at 6:00 AM, OFF at 6:30 AM). Upon the timer going on, it completes the circuit and turns on the water heater. When the set OFF time is reached, it terminates the supply, and this keeps it safe, preserving energy.
This wiring provides a safe, efficient, and automatic operation of the water heater with minimum hand effort.

Testing & Final Adjustments

Once installed, configure the setup by setting the timer to a brief cycle (e.g., 1-2 minutes). Note if the water heater is turning ON at the designated time and turns off after that. Test the RCCB check button to ensure leakage protection is in effect.
Failure to start heater: Make sure that the wiring connections are correct, that the timer is in Auto Mode, and the MCB is ON. In the case of digital timers, make sure that the clock is adjusted properly and then program it.
It has an ON/OFF schedule that you can set to fit your hot water requirement, e.g,. Morning and evening. This will ensure that there is no unreasonable heating when the building is not in use and will also stop overheating.
When properly adjusted, an automatic water heater timer system is safer, more economical, and provides hot water whenever it is required.
