2-way light switch wiring diagram:

This diagram shows how to make a 2-way light switch wiring diagram. In this circuit, we use a Tow way switch, an SP MCB ( Single Pole Circuit Breaker ), and 2 2-room lights. First, we need to input the phase line to SP MCB and then from SP MCB to connect the switch and then from the switch to input power 2 lights. Now this diagram is ready for use. Components used to make the 2 way light switch wiring:

01. SP MCB:

In single-pole MCB, Switching and protection are Affected in only one Phase. Single phase supply to break the phase only. A single Pole breaker is Typically used with 120-volt Circuits, and a 6-20 amps Miniature Circuit Breaker. They are constructed with one Line Wire and one Neutral wire. A Single Pole switch is the most basic General-Purpose switch that you use to Control a light or another device from one location. These Switches have 2 Brass-Colored screw Terminals Connected to the hot Power source wires. Pole refers to the number of Circuits Controlled by the Switch SP Switches Control only one Switch Electrical Circuit.

02. 2-Way Switch :

The 2-Way Switch has a wire connection system. It is a type of switch that has three wire connections. And it really has no off or on. Both sides can be turned on or off depending on how you connect one to the other. The connection of the two-way switch is different. If you use it as a changer, then put the load in the middle one and two separate lines in the upper and lower ones. The two-way switch is a type of multiway switch. Multiway switches have more points and can be controlled in multiple ways simultaneously.

03. Light:

CFL stands for Compact Fluorescent Lamp which is an improved version of tube lights of earlier days. Like tube lights, it is a vacuum glass tube with fluorescent powder coating which is not as long and straight as tube lights but curved/twisted compact, or small in size. Like a tube light, it has electrodes or filaments at both ends. But in this case, instead of a choke, there is an electronic circuit that drives the Compact Fluorescent Lamp. Because the red wave is less in the light of the Tubelight and Compact Fluorescent Lamp, the object looks a little pale or the correct color of the object does not appear.

Frequently asked questions

What is a 2-way light switch?

A 2-way light switch has Three terminals inside to allow control of the power supply light from 2 points and is commonly found at the top or the bottom of a staircase, or in a room with multiple entrances.

How does a 2-way light switch work?

When the plunger of the power supply first switch moves downward, it establishes and connection with the line wire. Simultaneously, the power supply plunger of the Circuit's Diagram second switch is in an upward position, making contact with the Project system live wire of the bulb.

How to wire two switches to one light 12V?

Connect 12V from the battery to the power supply middle connection of the Circuit Diagram nearest the switch. Run two wires to the second switch, 1 wire from top to top of the 2 switches. The second wire is from the bottom to the bottom of the 2 switches. A wire from the middle connector of the second switch goes to the +ve terminal of the lamp.

What do Lone and L2 mean on a switch?

The other terminal is marked as L1 and is the output of the light fixture. When you're wiring and decorative light switches such as chrome or stainless steel etc, you'll find that the power supply switch will also have an L2 terminal which means it's a 2-way switch.

Can one light have 2 switches?

You would use a 2-way light switch when you have 2 switches controlling one light, for instance in a hallway, where you have a switch at both ends of the power supply hallway that controls the hallway light. You are able to switch the Circuit's Diagram light on and off from either end of the hallway.
