How do you connect a Star Delta motor

A star-delta is employed for a cage motor designed to run commonly on the delta connected mechanical device winding. The affiliation of a three-phase induction motor with a star-delta starter is shown within the figure below. once the switch S is within the begin position, the mechanical device windings square measure connected within the star as shown below.

When the switch S is in the START position, the stator windings are connected in the star as shown below.
